Credit cards: what began as a charge card for a small group of NYC restaurants has become the most ubiquitous way to pay for just about anything. We’ve created an infographic that breaks down the power of credit and debit cards and takes a look at the culture that’s been built around them over the last few decades. Technologies like Near Field Communication (NFC) will be great if and when they reach mass adoption, but that’s years away. Until then, we’ll keep using what we have for years. And really, they’re not so bad, are they?
