Burgers, Seafood, and Brunch: Things to Do in DC This Weekend (June 8-10)
Happy Friday! We’re not sure if you feel the same way, but the Womply team hasn’t been able to stop thinking about food all week long. We drooled over Mokomandy’s Korean and Cajun inspired menu, stared out the window of our office at the beautiful weather, and daydreamed about the fresh produce that comes with summer. We are so excited to get the weekend started. As always, we hope you will spend your weekend relaxing, spending time with loved ones, and eating some delicious treats.
Maybe this weekend is an ice cream sort of weekend for you. Wine tasting and BBQ doesn’t sound half bad either. Whatever you choose to do, enjoy it. You deserve to have a great weekend.
Here are our weekend recommendations for the DC area:
Head to Capitol Lounge for its Boulevard Brewing Company brunch
Tomorrow, Capitol Lounge will have a special menu that pairs a tasty beer with your meal. Try the crab frittata that’s served with home fries and paired with Boulevard Brewing Company’s Unfiltered Wheat Beer, or go for the chicken and gravy dish paired with the Double-Wide IPA. All menu items will be served a la carte and reservations are not accepted for this event. For more information, call Capitol Lounge.
Grab a famously delicious burger at Black & Orange
We’d like to congratulate Black & Orange for being recognized on USA TODAY for being one of the “Great American Burger Joints” yesterday! We think Black & Orange’s burgers are truly amazing, and if you don’t believe us, go try one. After just one bite, you’ll agree with us. Black & Orange creates unique burgers such as Pardon My French, which is made with black truffle oil and thyme, and the Now & Zen, which is made with soy sauce, green onion, and ginger. The flavors Black & Orange bring together will delight your taste buds leave you extremely pleased. Don’t forget to sign up for Womply to save money for visiting this great place!
Enjoy a nice dinner in Bethesda at Chef Tony’s Restaurant
Chef Tony’s Restaurant prides itself on using only fresh and seasonal ingredients. Eat here and you’re guaranteed to enjoy the most delicious and sustainable seafood and produce in the area. Jumbo shrimp with artichoke or broiled large bay scallops with buttered breadcrumbs are a couple examples of Chef Tony’s amazing menu. Chef Tony also made a video about Womply! He is wonderful (Thanks, Chef Tony!). To read our merchant spotlight on Chef Tony’s restaurant, click here.
